摘要: Various in vitro grown tissues (non-regenerative callus, regenerative callus and microshoot derived leaves) of Solanum nigrum L. were cultured under salinity stress (0—150 mM NaCl) for enhanced production solasodine, a steroidal alkaloid an alternative to diosgenin, which is used as precursor the commercial drugs. The role plant growth regulators various concentrations NaCl during solasodine was studied. yield compared with from leaves field plant. Solasodine content maximum (2.39 mg/g dry wt.) when on medium added 150 NaCl; followed by raised leaf microshoot. Quantitative estimation carried out using new HPTLC method, validated its recovery precession. proposed method showed good linear relationship (r2=0.994) 50—2000 ng/spot concentration ranges. data demonstrate that cultures dependent.
