摘要: This chapter provides an overview of research regarding preservice teachers’ perceptions and beliefs about the environment describes one approach to engaging future teachers in environmental education within educator preparation program curriculum. The successes challenges retooling include EE are discussed. Also, findings a national survey conducted determine extent inclusion programs reported. Based on this findings, it is recommended as initial steps that tap into greatest identified supports for EE, namely collaboration between formal non-formal agencies organizations, student interest, available curriculum materials.
