摘要: Abstract : The recent institutionalization of women in combat reignites a long-standing debate on their roles the military, that elicits emotionally charged responses from proponents and critics alike. While much current discourse concerns hypothetical discussions direct combat, there is population female soldiers who have contributed as front line trigger pullers throughout past 12 years war Iraq Afghanistan. These are Army aviators served attack aviation roles, without restriction, since beginning major operations Global War Terrorism. Given significant implications political, social, cultural, economic ramifications this paper synthesizes historical evidence statistical data pilots' performance within over span two conflicts Middle East. research shows after decade war, no stigma nor other prohibitive factors degrade effectiveness or lethality units when females serve lines alongside male counterparts.
