摘要: [1] Dinitrogen (N2) fixation and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) release rates were measured on fractionated samples (>10 µm 10 <10 fractions, respectively). The sum of both fractions correlated with aerosol optical depth at 550 nm (AOD nm) (rs = 0.382, p = 0.017) phosphate (PO43−) concentrations (rs = 0.453, p = 0.018), suggesting an enhancement diazotrophy as a response to inputs phosphorus availability. In contrast, DON was constant among size did not correlate any these variables. We also compared N2 obtained using the 15N2 bubble methods. first gave average 50% (49% ± 39) higher than latter, which supports finding that previously published are likely underestimated. suggest by combining measurements 15N2, global could increase enough balance oceanic fixed budget disequilibria.
