摘要: The mammalian genome contains two genes encodingphosphoglycerate kinase; the pgk-1gene is X-linked and expressed in all cells except sperm, while pgk-2gene exclusively sperm cells. mouse no pseudogenes derived from pgk-2.On other hand, genomes of Balb/c C3H/He strain mice contain six regions with sequences homologous to those pgk-1cDNA. These pgk-related are likely by retroposition because located on autosomal chromosomes none appear be interrupted introns. Two presumed pgk-1cDNA four genomic were truncated at 5′, 3′, or both ends. One was sequenced. Its sequence not flanked direct repeats, suggesting that loss 5′ and/or 3′ ends this retrogene may have occurred following its integration into genome. Our evidence suggests pgk-1-derived retroposons arose initially more than 100 million years ago continued arise until so recently some unique different strains.
