摘要: A 3-year-old boy with M7 acute myeloid leukaemia was admitted for induction chemotherapy cytarabine, daunorubicin and etoposide. Two days later, he developed febrile neutropaenia started on cefepime. Blood cultures showed no growth the fevers abated. Three weeks while still neutropaenic receiving cefepime, recurred persisted 3 a maximum fever of 39.8° C. Antibiotics were changed to vancomycin meropenem. He non-toxic appearing without localising symptoms. …
