摘要: Background Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a major health issue in Hong Kong and has become the second leading cause of death since 1960s. The prevalence CHD its mortality are approaching level that requires focused attention. Unfortunately, could be silent until manifestations occur. Early detection control cardiovascular risk factors including cholesterol blood pressure vital. Objective current project aimed to investigate 10-year general public Kong. Design A 12-month prospective cross-sectional study. Setting patients General between April 2007 2008. Intervention Public screening lipid panels pressure. Main outcome measurement Estimation risk. Results During this period, total 2607 were recruited with mean age 46.4±11.1 years (51.3% male), 8.1% subjects active smokers. Among all subjects, was 5.42±1.28 mmol/l, high density 1.59±0.75 mmol/l. systolic 121.7±19.5 mm Hg. assessment showed 13.8% moderately high-risk patients. Conclusion had relatively normal-high Almost two every 10 citizens may have 10–20% or more than 20% developing next 10 years.
