摘要: THE determinations of catechol amines and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5HIAA) in the urine have become relatively common laboratory procedures. These assays are useful establishing diagnosis pheochromocytoma1 malignant carcinoid2 respectively, addition applied widely for research purposes. The influence diet on urinary excretion these compounds was given little attention until Anderson, Ziegler Doeden3 demonstrated that banana feeding increases 5HIAA. Subsequently, it shown by Waalkes et al.4 this due to presence pulp 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), metabolic precursor 5HIAA.5 latter . . .
