摘要: Disclosed herein are methods of using scaled selectivities to assist in determining whether changes the value a target ethylene oxide production parameter—such as rate—used process epoxidizing with high-selectivity catalyst, have caused move away from optimal operation. If deviation operation has not worsened, it is generally unnecessary perform full optimization study even if parameter changed, which reduces or eliminates disturbances by carrying out such studies. Methods also disclosed use both and reaction temperatures. reveal that change moved operation, temperatures can, under certain conditions, provide an indication directions temperature and/or overall catalyst chloriding effectiveness should be changed toward improved selectivity, may used guide further adjustments improve selectivity.
