摘要: Metabolites as an end product of metabolism possess a wealth information about altered metabolic control and homeostasis that is dependent on numerous variables including age, sex, environment. Studying significant changes in the metabolite patterns has been recognized tool to understand crucial aspects drug development like efficacy toxicity. The inclusion metabonomics into OMICS study platform brings us closer define phenotype allows look at alternatives improve diagnosis diseases. Advancements analytical strategies statistical tools used allow prevent failures early stages reduce financial losses during expensive phase II III clinical trials. This chapter introduces along with instruments study; addition relevant examples usage process are discussed emphasis future directions challenges it faces.
