摘要: New Italian populations of Knautia dinarica , formerly known only for Sila (Calabria, Southern Italy), were discovered in Abruzzo (Central Italy) and Basilicata (Southern Italy). In order to correctly classify these populations, a taxonomic study was carried out, including morphological karyological analyses the typification names sylvatica var. K. arvensis f. silana . We conclude that Italy subsp. occurs, be considered as endemic central-southern Apennines vicariant occurring Balkan peninsula. Both subspecies can either diploid (2 n = 20) or tetraploid 40), are distinguished by different mean shape basal leaves (the ratio length/width is higher plants).
