Beacon: A Web portal to high-quality mental health websites for use by health professionals and the public

摘要: Objective To describe the Beacon web portal, which lists and rates quality health websites, collects user characteristics publishes feedback; to report summary data on Beacon's highest-rated (best evidence-based) sites for mental health. Data sources A systematic search was undertaken in February 2009 potentially relevant websites through a review of research papers recently published book, an internet Open Directory Project medical categories, material high-profile survey international researchers. Selection criteria All were ranked 7-point scale from -1 5, with negative scores indicating evidence no effect 2 or more efficacy based reports scientific literature. Results By March 2010, 183 had been identified, 122 focused physical wellbeing, 40 targeted anxiety, 23 depression. Of eight generalised anxiety disorder four achieved ratings above.
