摘要: Biosorption of lead(II) ions from aqueous solution onto the seed husk Calophyllum inophyllum was investigated in a batch system. Equilibrium, thermodynamics and kinetic studies were conducted by considering effects pH, initial metal ion concentration, contact time, temperature. The results showed that uptake increased with increase concentration. pH for optimum adsorption 4 Pb(II) (q=4.86 mg/g 97.2% adsorption). Langmuir isotherm described biosorption biomass (R(2)=0.9531) better than Freundlich model (R(2)=0.7984), Temkin (R(2)=0.8761). kinetics data obtained sorption fitted using pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order. It found well into pseudo-second-order kinetics. Thermodynamic parameters such as Gibbs free energy (DeltaG), standard enthalpy (DeltaH) entropy (DeltaS) evaluated. result C. spontaneous endothermic nature. FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) revealed carboxyl, amine, hydroxyl groups on surface involved ions.
