摘要: Abstract The thymidine analog, BrdUrd, induces many biological responses which are of importance to the filed genetic toxicology and related disciplines. these include induction SCE, specific-locus mutations, toxicity, inhibition cell proliferation, expression fragile sites in human genome. In early models addressed mechanisms biloogical effects BrdUrd exposure, two pathways were proposed account for responses. Incorporation enol form into nascent DNA strand after pairing with deoxyguanosine was as one pathway, whereas incorporation opposite adenosine place second pathway. Many novel sophisticated techniques have been applied study mechanism by leading a substantial increase our understanding mechanisms. However, experimental evidence clearly supports contention that exerts its on eukaryotic cells through similar those originally explain gentoxicity BrdUrd.
