摘要: At wide angles in a storage ring environment, substantial part of the energy seen by hadron calorimeter can be form very low momentum particles such as jet fragments or resonance cascade decay products. Data are presented on deviations from Gaussian resolution and linear response for particles. The differing responses to incident e-, μ-, π+-, K+-, p at momenta below 10 GeV/c also compared. In addition, we discuss significance angle effects 4π calorimeter, problems combining data calorimeters with different physical characteristics. Experimental difference between fine grain ("electromagnetic") lead coarser ("hadron") iron dependence sharing two calorimeters.
