摘要: Adjuvant induced arthritis is a chronic crippling, skeletonmuscular disorder having nearest approximation to human rheumatoid for which there currently no medicine available effecting permanent cure. Even modern drugs used the amelioration of symptoms, offer only temporary relief and also produce severe side effects. In indigenous system medicine, genus Strobilanthus believed be useful in treatment inflammation arthritis. present study two chemical constituents RVS-A (Lupeol) RVS-C (Doctriacantone) isolated from species namely callosus Nees ixiocephala Benth were evaluated its antiarthritic potential. study, anti-arthritic activity done by Freund's adjuvant model using Prednisolone as standard drug. We various haematological parameters assess effectiveness treatment. The results Fruend’s model, indicated that components (20 mg/kg) both oral route shows percent inhibition 81.71% 84.05% after 21 days respectively, where Standard 5mg/kg showed 95.68% (P<0.01). current investigation concluded, plants Nees, possess significant against justifying therapeutic role arthritic condition.
