摘要: Abstract : Much of the on-going research in microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) is directed al identification unifying mechanisms for global observations MIC-related phenomena, e.g. ennoblement passive alloys and carbon steel pilings. Both occur fresh saline waters In following sections data will be presented suggesting that a single explanation either unsatisfactory. The two examples provide evidence MR can he site specific multiple operative, especially coastal where water chemistry varies with location subject to riverine inputs tidal fluxes.
