Conserve energy: refrigerate with waste heat

摘要: Refrigeration can be provided by using waste heat with the classic water-ammonia absorption cycle. This cycle was originally employed in 1800's and has been refined over years. It lost its economic value 1930's as more efficient centrifugal reciprocating compressor systems became less expensive. Due to basic inefficiency, ammonia system cannot justified unless low level is available such pressure steam or hot process streams. A detailed description including controls, utility requirements potential sources presented.
