摘要: Simulation in the shape of “phantom head” is an essential part every dental training programme. It used to provide student with practice before he/she allowed carry out restorative procedures on patients. In theory, this promotes patient safety. However, learning process lacks clarity, and we do not understand fully how well learned skills transfer clinical activity. This study asks whether fact pre-clinical course a reliable guarantor It does so by examining four facets simulation process: purpose, learning, fidelity transition, using mixture research methods, including comparison assessment grades, focus groups students, one-to-one interviews their teachers questionnaire. The results these investigations indicate complex inter-relationship between transition. They also suggest that success simulated dentistry poor predictor ability, limitation needs careful consideration light safety. The recommends changes increase complexity authenticity course, suggests transition detailed management, perhaps through blend
