摘要: Abstract In present work, the interaction between lanthanum (La) and nitrogen (N) during plasma rare earth nitriding of M50NiL martensitic steel is analyzed. Phase compositions, elemental contents as well microhardness profiles surface layers are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) tester to observe changes N in treated layers. The results microhardness, XRD EDS indicate that addition pure La can speed up denitriding rate compared with case without addition. XPS reveal presence O bond reduces peak intensity Me bond, which indicates element reduce nitrided through oxidation attraction atoms. theoretical thermodynamic calculations employed further clarify function
