摘要: Abstract Production of renewable energy from biomass has been promoted as means to improve greenhouse gas balance in production, security, and provide jobs income. However, uncertainties remain how the agriculture forest sectors might jointly respond increased demand for bioelectricity feedstocks potential environmental consequences production. We use an economic model examine combine demands under simulated future national-level electricity standards. Both are projected contribute biomass, although crops, like switchgrass, produced on land be primary feedstocks. At highest targets we project conversion support Although takes place response mandates, only minor increases emissions. Similarly, crop prices were generally stable face displacement traditional crops.
