摘要: Repeat microscopic epididymal sperm aspiration (MESA) is used to treat congenital absence of the vas deferens (CAVD). Use alloplastic implants as reservoirs results in poor motility and pregnancy rates. An autoplastic tunica vaginalis reservoir for has been four patients, with one resultant pregnancy. We studied this technique a monkey model. Eight were created monkeys (Cercopithecus aethiops). The was ligated close epididymis. A transverse incision made caput epididymis, aspirated analysis. Cut margins duct sutured open visceral layer vaginalis. defect parietal repaired, sterile Tyrode's solution instilled potential space between layers. Initial obtained at creation demonstrated adequate mean (60.5%, grade 1.5), morphology (82.8% normal), viability by Eosin-Y exclusion (69.9%). At 4 weeks, no palpable. Percutaneous (25-gauge angiocatheter) yielded fluid. Surgical exposure significant adhesions scar formation layers vaginalis, obliterating space. No detected irrigant fluids time. In conclusion, adhesion may prevent use an alternative repeat MESA treatment CAVD.
