摘要: This collection presents 14 essays by renowned scholars on Deaf people, Deafhood, histories, and identity, but from different points of view the Deaf/Disability compass. Editors Susan Burch Alison Kafer have divided these works around three themes. The first, Identities Locations, explores identity in contexts. Topics range a history activism shaped ableism elites United States 18801920, to discussion roles that economics, location, race, culture play experiences woman northern Nigeria now living Washington, D.C. Alliances Activism showcases organized across differences.
