摘要: Musk deer are an important economic wildlife resource, and long-term over-use has resulted in a sharp population decrease the wild. Farming of musk is to prevent shrinking wild from being hunted for their musk. farming history more than 60 years China, but many problems persist. alert, timid solitary wild, captive environment cannot satisfy natural needs, leading farming. Understanding biological characteristics may help identify ways improving welfare farmed deer. In addition gaining musk, can play role reintroduction deer, which complicates things as production requires tame domesticated whereas successful untamed less ones. this article, we compare morphology, behavior, physiology, genetics, nutrition, discuss how organize management needs order improve increase
