Growth and Seed Production Response of Commelina Communis L. to Water Stress

摘要: A greenhouse-based in vitro investigation was carried out to determine the adaptation of Commelina communis L. water stress and its deleterious influence on growth seed production C. communis. Plant height number leaves were regressed for two experiments (degree durations stress) using three parameter sigmoid model. Different degree response C. communis 100%, 80%, 60%, 40% 20% field capacity (FC). Maximum plant (85.58 cm) (92.96) with normal morphology, high biomass recorded 100 80% FC. However, a drastic decline observed when increased (minimum [20.83 cm] [21.87] followed by FC). Similarly, duration responses also considered i.e. 2, 3, 4, 6 days’ following 100% capacity. The results showed an inverse correlation between performance. As reduced, height, leaves, increased. This proves that increases content, whereas significantly decreases production.
