摘要: Although satellite radar altimetry was developed and optimized for open oceans, it has been used to monitor variations in the level of inland water-bodies such as lakes rivers. Here, first time, we have further altimetry-derived variation water estimating fluctuation storage an addition present situ estimation systems be remote areas emergency situation events flooding monitoring studying effect climate change. Lake Dongting, second largest lake China, influenced frequently by flooding, was, therefore, chosen demonstrate potential technique. By using concept "assumed reference point", converted Topex/Poseidon data on Dongting "water level" data. The time-series were establish a rating curve. From curve, derived from seven years (1993-1999) actual Dongting. result reveals that seasonal annual fluctuations occurred during 1990s with more frequent at late 1990s' especially whole catchment 1998 1999. study supports usefulness dense continuous temporal dynamic moderate large lakes.
