摘要: Breastmilk is natural nutrition for infants. In addition to nutrients, breast milk contains a variety of immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial substances that help reduce short- long-term morbidity risks positively influence the child's cognitive psychomotor development. Studies show breastfed children are at a significantly lower risk respiratory tract infections, otitis media, gastroenteritis compared with non-breastfed children. Also, sudden infant death syndrome significantly reduced by breastfeeding. Breastfeeding does not have an on allergies, neither in overall population nor a familial predisposition. However, breastfeeding promotes brain development, especially white matter, associated improved intelligence about 2 IQ points. Furthermore, studies inverse correlation between subsequent obesity, there evidence a risk reduction type 2 diabetes mellitus. Breastfed infants can largely regulate their food intake.
