摘要: Quantitative Golgi study of hippocampal pyramidal neurons ground squirrels showed rapid and profound transformation their apical dendrites in the course hibernation. The were significantly shorter, less branched had fewer dendritic spines middle hibernation bout than active euthermic between bouts. After arousal from torpor, within 2 h completely restored structure. During hibernation, season remodelling occurs repeatedly during each torpor-activity cycle.
