Interim prediction method for fan and compressor source noise

摘要: A method is presented for interim use in assessing the noise generated by fans and compressors turbojet turbofan engines. One-third octave band sound pressure levels consisting of broadband, discrete tone, combination-tone components are predicted. Spectral distributions directivity variations specified. The based on that developed other investigators with modifications derived from an analysis full-scale, single-stage fan data. Comparisons predicted measured performance presented, requirements improving discussed.
