摘要: The potential of producing ecofriendly composites from industrial waste fibres, bonded with magnesium lignosulfonate, a lignin-based formaldehyde-free adhesive, was investigated in this work. Composites were produced the laboratory using following parameters: hot press temperature 210 °C, pressing time 16 min, and 15% gluing content lignosulfonate (on dry fibres). physical mechanical properties evaluated compared European Standard (EN) required (EN 312, EN 622-5) common wood-based panels, such as particleboards for internal use conditions (type P2), load-bearing humid P5), heavy-duty P7), medium-density fibreboards (MDF) conditions. In general, new exhibited satisfactory properties: bending strength (MOR) (18.5 N·mm−2) that 42% higher than type P2 (13 16% P5 (16 N·mm−2). Additionally, modulus elasticity (MOE) (2225 24% (1800 equivalent to MOE MDF panels (2200 However, these showed deteriorated moisture properties, i.e., 24 h swelling water absorption, which distinct disadvantage. This should be further investigated, modifications formula used and/or production parameters are necessary.
