摘要: This report describes instrumentation that remotely measures the CO emissions from thousands of vehicles per day with a sensitivity ± 1 percent in exhaust, which is approximately 13 grams mile for new vehicles. A prototype this instrument was used Denver, Colorado January 1989 during study conducted conjunction researchers University who have developed similar Instrumentation. Emission measurements were made on 4000 identified by make and model year state vehicle registration records. The data demonstrates clear trend higher emission rates older suggests lowering standards will little immediate impact upon ambient urban levels.
