Finishing of Polyester Fabrics with Cyclodextrins and Polycarboxylic Acids as Crosslinking Agents

摘要: CDs were grafted onto PET fibers by the intermediate of polycarboxylic acids thatplayed role crosslinking agents. We evidenced that grafting occurred despitethat no reaction could happen between and PET. It wasconcluded mode through formation a crosslinkedcopolymer PCA CDs. This copolymer was not covalently fixed to thefibers, but physically adhered or entangled into fibrous network so resistant washings permanent. report rate depended on (i) temperature curing; (ii) time (iii) ratio PCA/CD. In most drastic conditions, weight increase fabrics due graft reach 25–30%-wt. α, β, γ-CDs HP-β-CD successfully reacted RAMEB because its reduced number free hydroxyl groups available for esterification reaction.
