摘要: The isolated plasma membrane of Acanthamoeba castellanii consists approximately 27% lipid, 37% phosphoglycan, and protein. About 60% the protein migrates as a polypeptide 15,000 daltons in sodium dodecyl sulfate-acrylamide gel electrophoresis. phosphoglycan is resolved electrophoretically into two components which migrate ahead major band. These three are also detectable upon electrophoretic analysis whole amoebae they do not change concentration when amoeba homogenates incubated for 6 hours at 25°. other controls support conclusion that apparently simple macromolecular composition an artifact isolation procedure. In some preparations actin associated with membranes nonmembranous component.
