摘要: Viruses are the most abundant biological entities on Earth, exceeding bacteria in of ecosystems. Specially oceans, viruses thought to be major planktonic predators shaping microorganism communities and controlling ocean capacity. Plankton lysis by plays an important role nutrient energy cycles. Viral metagenomics has emerged as a powerful tool uncover viral diversity aquatic ecosystems through use Next Generation Sequencing. However, many commonly used sample preparation steps have several biases that must considered avoid misinterpretation results. In addition caused purification virus particles, DNA/RNA amplification genomic libraries could also introduce biases, detailed knowledge about such protocols is required. this review, main metagenomic workflow described paying special attention potential introduced each one.
