摘要: article i nfo Advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have contributed greatly to the study of neurodegenerative processes, psychiatric disorders, and normal human development, but effect such improvements on reliability downstream morphometric measures has not been extensively studied. We examined how MRI-derived neurostructural are affected by three technological advancements: parallel acceleration, increased spatial resolution, use a high bandwidth multiecho sequence. Test-retest data were collected from 11 healthy participants during 2 sessions occurring approximately weeks apart. acquired 4 T1-weighted MP-RAGE sequences each session: non-accelerated anisotropic sequence (MPR), isotropic (ISO), an accelerated (ISH), (MEM). Cortical thickness volumetric computed for assess test-retest measurement bias. Reliability was extremely most similar across parameters. Significant bias observed, however, between MPR all cortical regions some subcortical structures. These results suggest that these MRI acquisition technology do compromise reproducibility, consistency should be maintained choosing parameters structural studies.
