Application of Nanosized Zeolite X Modified with Glutamic Acid as a Novel Composite for the Efficient Removal of Co(II) ions from Aqueous Media

摘要: In this work, nanosized zeolite X modified with glutamic acid was facilely synthesized as a novel composite. Also, the X/glutamic composite identified using various instruments such XRD, CHN, FT-IR, and FE-SEM. The FE-SEM image confirmed that fabricated has cotton-like structure. XRD pattern presence of wide peak at 2Ɵ = 23°. Hence, crystalline structure interfered or combined over amorphous surroundings. Besides, employed an adsorbent for efficient removal Co(II) ions from aqueous media. Moreover, highest efficiency is achieved pH = 6, time = 100 min, temperature = 298 K. experimental results were matched well Langmuir equilibrium isotherm pseudo-second-order kinetic model. maximum adsorption capacity 120.90 ± 3.94 mg/g. Additionally, chemical, exothermic, spontaneous.
