摘要: To investigate the relationship between amoebic gut infection and presence of serum antiamoebic antibodies in a community where amoebiasis is highly endemic, cross-sectional population survey was conducted covering 982 subjects 2 adjacent villages rural India. E. histolytica detected fecal smears 18.1% (88/487) by micro-ELISA 28.7% (251/874) subjects. In 450 whom there no clinical evidence invasive disease or history ingestion drugs previous year from both stool matched samples were obtained, correlation with seropositivity attempted.
