摘要: An interferometric technique which employs Moire patterns has been used to study the deformation that occurs when an adhesive joint undergoes water uptake. It demonstrated very large swelling stresses can be generated as a result of inhomogeneous swelling. The magnitude and position these obtained by application equations developed from beam elasticity theory. A consequence this analysis is prediction damped normal displacement waves in cover slip regions negligible concentration. This observed experimentally.
