摘要: Medicinal remedies of herbal origin employed by Criollos herdsmen northwestern Chaco were studied through collections plant specimens and interviewing 83 local informants from several villages. A total 619 medicinal uses recorded for 163 species during field work. For each the scientific vernacular names, parts used, specific uses, modes preparation administration way obtaining them listed. Most are collected in wild (78%), they account seventy nine percent uses; rest obtained cultivation or bought markets. Plants used mainly diseases digestive tract (26.5% uses); skin affections (14.6%); respiratory disorders (9.1%); reproductive (8.4%) circulatory system (7.7%); as antipyretics (7.5% uses).
