摘要: Publisher Summary Molecular lesions associated with six mutations induced by I-R (inducer-reactor) hybrid dysgenesis in the yellow gene of Drosophila melanogaster have been identified. Three these are due to insertions: one is a complete I element, other two shorter elements, truncated at their 5´ ends. The transposable element (or factor) from particular interest, as it has identified main genetic factor controlling dysgenesis. Several elements end described this chapter. They vary length 38 3895 bp. result recent transposition events. It suggested that transpose via reverse transcription an RNA intermediate transcribed internal promoter located near end. If true, unlikely be exact copies deleted donor which would obviously unable synthesize RNA. More probably, tend lose ends during course or time integration. This could mechanism integration leading preferential loss end, early arrest transcription.
