摘要: Background Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is characterized by acute, reversible left ventricular apical ballooning. Little known about the characteristics of patients with takotsubo who have in-hospital mortality. We sought to determine mortality rate, complication and related cardiomyopathy. Methods Patients diagnosed in National Inpatient Database Samples 2008 2009 using International Classification Diseases, Ninth Revision , code 42983 were included this study. Our primary outcome was In cardiomyopathy, we assessed demographic factors, prevalence associated underlying critical illnesses (acute ischemic stroke, sepsis, acute renal failure, respiratory insufficiency, noncardiac surgery), complications congestive heart insufficiency cardiogenic shock, fibrillation/cardiac arrest, intraaortic balloon pump placement). Results A total 24,701 identified. In-hospital rate 4.2%. 21,994 (89.0%) female.
