摘要: Electron-microscopical studies of the inner structure Paramecium caudatum have been carried out by means ultra-thin sections. The results observations are summarized as follows.1. Each cilium is provided with a basal granule (kinetosome), but exceptionally two cilia grow from one kinetosome.2. has fibrillar structure, and consists bundle fibrils extending through its full length.3. macronucleus filled granular or filamentous bodies, many more minute granules scattered among them. These may be found particularly in abundance near periphery nucleus, show an appearance to migrating into cytoplasm nuclear membrane.4. micronucleus small large like those observed missing.5. A great number mitochondria-like granules, spherical, oval appearance, cytoplasm. ectoplasm immediately beneath pellicle bodies forming fibrous layer.6. kind limiting membrane some internal structure.7. Staining reactions fixed well living materials identical mitochondria cells higher organisms. Furthermore, isolated ultra-centrifuge their intimate relation respiratory enzymes. From these facts it safely said that same nature organism.8. Two types food vacuoles present.
