摘要: This invention details how a low cost opto coupler can be made on Silicon On Insulator (SOI) using conventional integrated circuit processing methods. Specifically, metal and deposited insulating materials are use to realize top reflector for directing light generated by silicon PN junction diode photo detector. The generator or LED operated either in the avalanche mode forward mode. Also, side reflectors described as means contain LED-photo detector pair. Furthermore, serpentine is of LED. For mode, two structures which hole electrons combine lightly doped regions away from heavily thereby increasing conversion efficiency.
