摘要: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the main causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. A huge effort has been made to improve current standard approaches for treating patients with ischemic heart disease. However, despite greater efficacy new drugs clinical techniques, which have decreased number acute prolonged life chronic ones, classic treatments still not able regenerate diseased heart. For this reason, alternative therapies based on use gene, protein, stem cells developed in combination bioengineering aim only protecting but also repairing damaged All these therapies, especially cell therapy possibility combining biomaterials order reinforce their potential or even create tissues, reviewed chapter.
