摘要: Undoubtedly, the sensory organs of biological systems have been evolved to accurately detect and locate external stimuli, even if they are very weak. However, mechanism underlying this ability is still not fully understood. Previously, it had shown that stochastic resonance may be a good candidate explain ability, by which response system an signal amplified presence noise. Recently, pointed out initial phase diversity in signals can also served as simple feasible for weak detection or amplification excitable neurons. We here make brief review on progress. will show there two kinds effects diversity: one disorder, i.e., phases different static, other noise, time-varying like Both cases subthreshold periodic indeed play constructive role emergence sustained spiking activity. As mimic arrival times from source organs, these findings provide cue understanding hunting behaviors some systems.
