摘要: Background: The relation between dietary inflammation and risk of depression has not been widely explored. We examined the association inflammatory effect diet odds among Iranian female adolescents. Methods: Using a stratified cluster sampling technique, 300 adolescents aged 15-18 years were recruited from schools in Tehran 2014-2015. Depression was assessed using Depression, Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS)- 21-point scale. index (DII®) used to evaluate potential diet. Dietary intake validated food frequency questionnaire. In addition descriptive statistics, multivariable linear logistic regression calculate confounder-adjusted beta estimates ratios. Results: total, 88 females (30%) had at least moderate level depressive symptoms (DASS > 6). Females with most pro-inflammatory higher DASS score (β = 1.67; 95% CI 0.03, 3.31) 3.96 (95% 1.12, 13.97) times having symptoms, compared anti-inflammatory diets. Conclusion: These data suggest that adolescent eating diet, as indicated by DII scores, greater symptoms.
