摘要: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most relevant malignant neoplasm among all head and neck tumours due to its high prevalence unfavourable prognosis. Tumour invasion metastasis that affect prognosis are result of a set complex events cells with invasive potential use spread other regions. These several mechanisms invade tissues, including type finger-like membrane protrusion called invadopodia. This study aims investigate immunoexpression invaopodia related-proteins TKs5, cortactin, TKs4 MT1-MMP in OSCC correlate it clinicopathological data. An immunohistochemical evaluation fifty cases OSCCs 20 oral mucosa (OM) were assessed. The expression invadopodia proteins analysed comparison normal tissue correlated different clinical-stage histological grade OSCC. significantly overexpressed when compared OM (p < 0.0001). Among tumour stages, TKs5 showed statistical difference immunolabelling between stage I III (p = 0.026). Cortactin was statistically higher than II III. No differences seen on based staging or grading. expressed stages grades found be OM, suggesting formation activity. Besides OSCC, no ambiguous protein clinical-stages groups. Conversely, increased advanced less differentiated tumours, as promising prognostic marker
