摘要: BACKGROUND Osteochondral lesion of the talus (OLT) involves separation a fragment articular cartilage, as defined by Kappis in 1922. MRI is current standard for noninvasive diagnosis OLT. Single-photon emission computed tomography combined with (SPECT/CT) provides both morphologic and functional information. The purpose study was to compare SPECT/CT image interpretation treatment decision making talar osteochondral lesions. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total 21 patients (four bilateral) were evaluated SPECT/CT. Diagnostic arthroscopy performed validate indication identifying unstable cartilage areas. Activation assessed nine regions interest, described Elias colleagues. findings modified scoring system Hart colleagues, classification Hepple Sensitivity, specificity, positive negative predictive values, accuracy calculated MRI. RESULTS 25 lesions identified. Seventeen located on medial third dome, eight lateral third, seven central third. Four revealed diffuse uptake more than one zone identified two subchondral lesions, which not visualized CONCLUSION OLT diagnosis. allows three-dimensional localization scintigraphic osteoblastic activity area providing additional information about involvement bone vitality location multiple We recommend use together comprehensive diagnostic assessment
