摘要: Purpose of the study is to compare complication rates bilateral subtotal (BST), near total (NTT) and thyroidectomy (TT) in a cohort patients undergoing surgery for benign multinodular goitre (MNG). Seven hundred fifty MNG were studied with median follow-up 53 months (range 18–102). There was no operative mortality this group required urgent re-exploration haematoma. After BST 14 (14/170 – 8.2%) developed transient hypocalcaemia 4 (4/170 2.4%) had one permanent (1/170 0.6%) recurrent laryngeal nevre (RLN) palsy. In NTT 39 (39/320 12.2%) 2 (0.6%) voice disturbances. None experienced complications. However, TT 78 (78/260 30%) whereas only patient (1/260 0.4%) suffered hypoparathyroidism 5 (5/260 1.9%) temporary RLN injury but none them remained permanent. are (2/170 1.2%) recurrences those group. All at least 100 μg thyroxine supplementation following operation. These results demonstrate low thyroid surgery. Although incidence increases extent resection, similar all three surgical procedures. Even short follow-up, there risk recurrence therefore or may be operation choice MNG.
