The association between the serum level of vitamin D and ischemic heart disease: a study from Jordan.

摘要: Background Decreased levels of vitamin D were associated with increased risk multiple diseases, including cardiovascular diseases. However, there seem to be some discrepancies among the results obtained from different studies. The aim present study was explore importance having sufficient serum in reducing incidence and progression coronary artery stenosis ischemic heart disease (IHD). Methods Serum measured using radioimmunoassay 186 Jordanian patients who underwent investigative catheterization. Of these patients, 133 suffering stenosis. association between levels, many factors determined SPSS software. Results conclusions Interestingly, current did not show an abnormalities or reoccurrence Moreover, significant differences detected prevalence based on patient's gender, a both body mass index dyslipidemia. any other for IHD. For instance, no found smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, stable unstable angina acute recent myocardial infarction.
